The Greater Easterhouse Alcohol Awareness Project “GEAAP” is a community alcohol project that offers one to one counselling support to anyone affected by their own or another’s use or misuse of alcohol.

Appointments are offered during the day Mon to Fri with early evening appointments available on Monday evenings.

GEAAP also provides a Peer Mentoring service to support people to access the many recovery initiatives that are available across Glasgow as well as providing volunteering opportunities to train as mentors.

Our prevention and education team provides a unique programme of initiatives, aiming to inform and educate young people about alcohol and its related issues. A major part of our work load is the provision of our award winning alcohol awareness programme Young Booze Busters to the primary schools throughout the North East of Glasgow. They also provide workshops and information stalls in a fun and interactive manner aiming to challenge attitudes, increase knowledge and enable individuals to make safer, more informed choices.
